The University of Genoa counts various museum structures with an important scientific and didactic character. Some of them are structured as actual museums (as the Chemistry Museum, the Physics Museum, and the Ethnomedicine Museum), others are part of an "open museum" daily enjoyed by the students. Both realities represent interesting didactic operative models and allow to bring into realization competences and multidisciplinary scientific researches dedicated to the exemplification of operative technics, of scientific analysis and diagnosis for conservation, preservation, and knowledge of the cultural good. Museums and widespread cultural heritage aim to constitute synergies strongly tied to the themes of research and didactics, as emerged during a recent meeting - June 2014 - among the persons in charge of all the collections of the Athenaeum and the delegates to management and enhancement of these resources.
